took the initiative to make it better. My day was normally busy but I made time
to enjoy myself. I decided to dance again. Many years ago, I was a really good
dancer. I grew up around Spanish music and learned to dance the different types
of rhythms. I let my feet feel the rhythm and honestly it took me back to my
childhood memories-dancing just for fun. I also visited my sister. She and I
share a special bond and well... we played dodge ball today. We really enjoyed each other's company. We laughed for hours. It was an epic night. I want to share a quote I read on a billboard in California sometime ago, " We don't stop playing when we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing".
Many times, I feel that our role as adults is to be serious and mature. And yes, those are great qualities but I have found myself less connected to the world when I am having fun in a way that brings me back to my childhood. Going out for walks, bike rides, sight seeing, any of the activities you did as a child will flourish your soul. We can still enjoy those activities in an adult manner but with the fun of a child.
Tell me, when was the last time you really enjoyed an activity? What was it? Who did you share that time with?
Tell me your story :)
