We met on January 18, 2008. So much happened in between until we got married on February 21, 2015. You could have made me happy but chose not to. You should have respected me but chose not to. And all the what if's I did. I was alone all this time. People say a marriage fails because 2 people couldn't make it work. But in this case it was only me making it work. I was told it was my fault....everything. I was believing it. But between earth and sky nothing is hidden from our Lord's eyes. I did my best. I did all I could. But no one can withstand as much pain, lies, betrayal, as what this brought to my life. 10 years is a long time but it is less than a lifetime. God bless, do good, be good.
It's no secret that life throws you curve balls and that the world can be anything but rosy. But...if you have an opportunity to travel and recharge your batteries, reflect, and enjoy the beauty of the world--go for it. It is a great investment for your life. Sometimes I think that we get stuck in our routines of working, stress, and affordability. But memories are priceless. With that being said I do want to share some advice if you do travel since I forgot so many important things on my first trip to Cancun! Take Aloe lotion, lots of sun screen, sun hats, and beach sandals!
Okay...enough talking. Here are some pictures of this amazing trip!
So I am constantly looking for ways to better aspects of my life which I I want to improve. Lately, I have been working out more and trying to be more careful about food choices. Not only am I doing this to look better but also to maintain a healthy life style.
Anyhow, I have downloaded a couple apps and I really do like them. They are MY FITNESS PAL and 30 DAYS FITNESS CHALLENGE. My fitness pal helps monitor my foods, water, and exercise to balance my health. 30 Days fitness challenge gives you daily challenges to work out at home. They have different levels of exercise and also different workout plans for your body. One more tool that I use is an online site for various workout challenges. It is darebee.com/
Take a plunge for 30 days and let me know what worked out best for you :)
Well, well, well!
I'm glad to be back! It's only been almost a year since I was here. I've been busy with life but we'll get into that eventually. I have been looking to buy a Digital camera but can't decide what's the best for entry level. It would only be used for personal use nothing special. What are your thoughts? Any ideas or experiences when buying digital cameras?

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a terrible terrible baker. The picture o the left is my version of my upside down pineapple cake. It was the worst, extremely sweet, crummy, cake...if I can call it that.
But I just found a website with super easy to follow recipes. I just tried a carrot cake and it turned out great. My next adventure will be Brazilian cheese balls.
Well, go check out this site and start baking some real good treats!
So here is a quick update on a recent event. I will start by asking you this:
What would you do if your server/waitress was a completely rude, eye rolling, snotty 18 year old child? and that this was not the first occurrence but 2nd or 3rd?
Well unfortunately the food at this location is way to delicious to not go because of an immature waitress so as I walked in to the restaurant the owner happened to be there. So I naturally said I I was actually wanting to speak with him about this situation and the "Culprit" was also there ready to listen. The owner and his family have a long friendship with me and my thought was to let them know as this is their business and people are losing interest in their restaurant because of the awful way they are getting treated.
So I was straight forward and just said that I was very disapointed with the bad service and of course the sassy young pants had something to say which was the following,
"It is not my job to ask if you are happy or not or to make you happy. I also should not be fake smiling if I don't have to. My job is to take your order and serve you."
I just said, well I'm sure your boss would disagree and ask the owner to personally take my order as I did not want any spit or awful vengeance to be taken on my food.
What approach would you have taken?
Happy 21st Birthday!
As you grow into a very lovely young lady, I want to thank you for the awesome 21 years of sisterhood that I have been blessed in my life with. Thank you for being kind, beautiful inside and out, inspirational, fashionable, understanding, best listener, humorous, bossy, organized, meticulous sister!
I wish you all the best that this universe can offer you.
Well, it's been quite a while since I was here. I wanted to write up a quick update. Lately, my time has been consumed with school. I am only a few weeks from obtaining my teaching license. I have been using the last couple of weeks to finish up exams, student teaching, and finishing up courses.
As far as my personal life, things have gone just fine. I appreciate the time I am granted to be able to focus and keep moving forward. Family seems to be so close yet for some members it has been a time to be distant.
Things will work themselves out I guess...
How have you been ?
My name is Perla Banegas. I am originally from Los Angeles, CA. I currently reside in Southwestern Minnesota. I have a great interest in learning from others and enjoy to travel. Brazil has been so far the best traveling place I have been to.
