object as if I belonged to her. It was very awkward and I tried to save my
introduction veering away from my profession.
How many times have you been introduced by someone? How many times have you introduced yourself or someone else? Introductions can tell much more than just a name. I was thinking about how each of our social gatherings have an underlining message to introductions. For example, are you introduced by your career, job position, or personality? Many times, I also feel that socially we describe people by appearances and not by who they are. Another example of this might be if you heard how a person of red hair is being talked about. More than likely you will here " The red-head" or something like that. Why is that our society flows away from who we are? It makes me wonder if it's because somehow it is easier to be short and get the point across.
Have you ever had awkward introductions? Have you been introduced in a way that you found it to be inappropriate?
Tell me your story :)
